For support call: 866-PATROLIO (866-728-7654) Option 2

  1. Make sure the end user is setup:

    1. (Most common) Your security company's back office setup the Patrolio end user from their https://portal.patrolio.com

    2. OR, sometimes a user has self registered from https://patrolio.com/join

  2. Tech: Install and configure the Hub. Typical setup below:

    1. If you have an NVR with Camera POE Ports:

    2. If you have a Switch it is only one ethernet cable from the hub

    3. Install near the NVR area

    4. Install with the mouting plate (screw holes) down:

    5. Text Photos of Hub Install to your back office

    6. Scan QR code and now you will be at the hub setup page

    7. Check the Hub Status says CONNECTED TO PATROLIO

      1. If not connected, doublecheck Ethernet / network setup

      2. Enter camera admin / password in COMMON CREDENTIALS

        1. This allows Hub to access each camera (once the camera is setup properly per later instructions)

    8. Setup Networking on the hub to see the cameras

      1. For LAN1 -- The Hub automatically takes a DHCP IP from the local router. You should not have to change anything. In rare cases the local IT contact will give you a static IP address. In that case you can set this IP address and MASK on LAN1

      2. For NVR with POE camera ports: LAN2 we need to configure so Hub will see the cameras on the same subnet

        1. Select LAN2 in the dropdown

        2. Set IP Address for the Hub to see the camera subnet

          1. Use 192.168.254.200 for Hikvision (for example)

          2. Mask 255.255.255.0

          3. If you are using different IPs for cameras find an available IP for the Hub on the same subnet

        3. Leave routing OFF

      3. For NVR without POE ports: LAN1 (right ethernet port on hub) should auto configure from the local router. LAN2 is unused on the hub.

  3. Tech: Setup the NVR so you can easily tunnel through it to get to the camera setup page. This applies if the cameras are on their own subnet behind the NVRs POE ports.

    1. From your laptop plugged into the switch or Router where NVR is

    2. Go to NVR Configuration/Network/advanced/Other

    3. On hikvision 5.0 : Device Access --> Device --> Video Device --> ...more --> Virtual Host Configuration

    4. Turn on ENABLE VIRTUAL HOST. SAVE

    1. Adjust Sub-Stream

    2. Change the frame rate to 15 FPS, 30 iFRame interval
