If you have a PTZ from Hikvision, LTS, or similar that keeps showing up on the HEALTH emails, it is likely due to a power cycle.
Why does this happen? Upon reboot the PTZ does not re-establish ONVIF.
What do the manufacturer's say?
They have acknowledged the error but don't plan on addressing or have not published a fix yet
How to fix this?
Your installer can fix remotely by going to their portal.patrolio.com account.
Go to portal.patrolio.com
Find the customer, Tap VIEW
Find the hub and Tap the Hub ID
Find the camera, it normally will have Last Intrusion Event with a date in all red. This means Patrolio hasn't seen an intrusion event in awhile.
From the camera,Tap Settings, Tap WEB CONFIG so you login to the camera
Go to CONFIGURATION/NETWORK/ADVANCED SETTINGS/INTEGRATION PROTOCOL. (or wherever ONVIF is setup).
Uncheck ENABLE ONVIF. SAVE
Check ENABLE ONVIF. SAVE
Go back to portal.patrolio.com and look at the Camera.
It should have a GREEN CHECK
The error in the HEALTH email *should* clear in a day or two after there is a human intrusion event in front of the camera
What should you do to prevent this?
First, figure out why your NVR or POE switch is power cycling. Do you have bad power at the install? Can you install a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) to keep the cameras from Rebooting. If you can this is recommended.
